Movable image in Word

Jeremy Roussak
Seeing the discussion on word processors reminds me of a problem I had recently. Many years ago, when I used roff, I was able to put it’s equivalent of an image inline, with the instruction “put it here if there’s room on the page; otherwise, continue processing the text and put it at the top of the next page”.

Can this be done in Word (2011, or any other version)? I can’t work out how, but I’m prone to missing the obvious.
