Monitor for the 2016 MBP Retina with Touch Bar

David Tuma
We have 2 MBP that we use with a LG 5K Ultra-fine monitor manufactured in March and supposedly fixed for interference - Ser# begins with 703.  We get several cursors, sometimes can’t tell where the real one is.  There are flickering 1” squares that show up and sometimes the monitor just goes black. Frustrating to work with.   I will be taking them back but does anyone have or know of a large (~27”) monitor that works well with the 2016 MBP?  Our old Apple monitors we used with the 2011 MBPs don’t work with the 2016.   Apple Store working but no luck yet.  Thank you.
David

I use a pair of Dell Ultra HD 4k Monitor P2715Q 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitors https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PC9HFO8/

I drive them off a pair of USB-C ->  Display port dongles, I  have the extra graphics memory in the MacBook, when waking for sleep it can take a few seconds for all three screens to get to the ultrafine resolutions and window placement but usually done by the time I have sat down. Overall very happy with them, I am a long time multi screen user and 2x5K was a bit more than I wanted to spend. The monitor has been the Wirecutter top pick for 4K for a while. http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-4k-monitors/ I have the USB 511 soundbar hanging off the bottom of them, unfortunately you can’t split the stereo across them, or at least I haven’t found a way.

HTH,
Thank you.  Will try them out.  The Apple store in Wellington, FL had recommended the LG 5K but that didn’t work well.  The Apple Store in Arlington VA said that the 13” MBP don’t do well with the 5K and I should try the 4k.

Appreciate the advice.

David
