Mail Version 10.3 (3273) missbehaving

Hector I Macedo-3
This last few weeks, Mail (Version 10.3 (3273), has been doing some “erasing” of mails on different mailboxes, not all of them,  I still can find the mails if I click on “Inbox” where I can see all the mail from different mailboxes, but not so on a few of the mailboxes. Has anyone experience something like that?

I have experienced this and message corruptions for the past few macOS versions. The link for me seems to be when I use Mail with Gmail AND iCloud email. So I now use Mail exclusively for Gmail and Thunderbird with iCloud. (which has its own issues)
