Sounds like Comcast might be blocking Earthlink’s IP address. I suggest calling Comcast support.

A few months ago I had a similar problem -- not only did all my email accounts fail to connect, but I couldn't visit any of my own websites (indicating I couldn't access those domains).
When I tried with the cellular connection of my phone, everything worked fine, so that told me it wasn't my domain host, but something with Comcast.
They ran some remote tests and said my Comcast modem was "dying" (parts of it showed up as "yellow" meaning they'd soon be red and completely dead) and needed to be replaced. I was *very* skeptical that a dying modem would be so selective as to only block my own domains and not others, but it was a free fix so I took the old modem in and installed the new one and bingo, everything was back to normal.
I still have no idea why it died. The modem was only about a year old. Comcast support made it sound like that's normal and about how long the things live. Bizarre.
