App Store in iOS 11 no longer shows the size of the download

Richard Rettke

My brother who lives in a rural area and has a pretty slow internet connection informed me last night that the App Store in iOS 11 no longer displays the size of the download. He used to use that information to determine when he should update various apps. If the update was small he may do it immediately, if large he would do it overnight.

I cannot find anywhere in the App Store presentation of updates as to what size the download will be.

Has anyone figured out a way to find that information or do we need to appeal to Apple to restore it.

You need to expand the application description in the App Store app by tapping the application icon. The size, developer website, and other basic facts are in the the Information section of the application description. The organization has changed:

1) Sample screens and functional description

2) Ratings & Reviews

3) What’s New

4) Information (includes Seller, Size, Category, Compatibility, Languages, Age Rating, Developer Website Link, and Privacy Policy Link)

5) Supports

6) Recommended apps

Thank You.

I think I had tapped on everything except the application icon.
