An apology to all!

"John Turner the Bear😎"
Dear TidBits Friends,

Please forgive my Microsoft rant. It was not very grownup and absolutely out of line for a group like this. Was just frustrated and a bit angry but I should not have broadcast it like that.

If I have angered or offended anyone please forgive me…it won’t happen again.

No apology expected here, but thank you anyway. I _was_ quite concerned by your report you deleted "Microsoft anything" and hope that did not include your .docx source files. They are your backout and Plan B if anything goes wrong or LibreOffice turns out to be less than ideal for some of your tasks. I understood you had years of work in those files ... if so, hope you didn't empty the trash, or do have backups. There is no downside to keeping them around.

I do have backups of all of my Word documents. I tried importing them into Libre and they imported perfectly. I had one more question…could I import these new files into QuarkXpress? No, not directly, but when I went back to Libre and saved them as docx files Quark accepted them and the formatting was perfect! I was astonished.

There were no fonts included that were not installed on my drive or any other problems like I had previously!

Now I don’t have to pay a rental fee either.
